Paris, France, The late 1800's. The back streets and opium dens are buzzing with the news that a new operetta, The Moulin Rouge; is set to open on The Jardin De Paris, but unlike the usual cheap dance halls and disease ridden brothels that vacate in this area, this new venture engulfed by rumour and speculation was to offer a new kind of high for the flamboyant overblown and pompous gentry of France.

Their heads buzzing with a deadly cocktail of Absinthe and opium, a plan had been formed and was being put into place, The Moulin Rouge was to be turned into a decadent dance hall for erotic cabaret,. With all this in place the money hungry opium fuelled gentry of Paris relaxed back into their smokey hovels and drank more deeply than ever.

Side Show owner Doktor Haze had landed on French soil after fleeing his native home of Transylvania, His dark and evil past well hidden from the local nobility he had set about blending in, Becoming a frequent visitor to Paris’s most notorious Opium den.

Now he was intrigued, he had sat and listened for weeks, as they all plotted and planned and now it was time for him to make his move. After downing another glass of Jagermeister, Doktor Haze was going to beat The Moulin Rouge and open his own den of iniquities to present his new show ‘Blood Thirsty Burlesque’

He had woke early the next day and immediatly set about employing a company of estate agents run by a quaintly named 'Monsieur Todrick Testicules'

Monsieur Testicules immediatly located a beautiful country retreat going by the name of 'St Remy' which boasted of being once the home of renowned painter Van Gogh. Doktor Haze was immediatly impressed and handed over a wad of french francs.  However on closer inspection of his new estate he found that his property was not entirely empty, but full of mad men and lunatics.  This was no country retreat for him to turn into a breathtaking theatrical venue,

This was a Mad House, A Looney Bin, A Sanatorium for psychotic and insane freaks of sociaty....

THIS WAS AN ASYLUM
